I mentioned the return of Cape Wagtails (Motacilla capensis) to our garden. I never tire of watching them bobbing up and down as they walk around the edge of the swimming pool looking for something to eat for they always give me the impression of being happy birds. So far I haven’t been able to get a good photograph of them there and so I turn to our recent trip to the Addo Elephant National Park to show them off.
This one was in the parking area of the picnic site, where birds have become used to the presence of vehicles and people.
