Fall colors of a crabapple

Nebari Bonsai

This is Malus ‘sargentii’. I have been working to build branching more than worrying about flowers and fruit. It has flowered each year, but this is the first year fruits have remained on the tree. Here is a shot from early November, with some fall color and the drying crabapples remaining.

Close up of the apples against the yellow leaves.

Leaves removed

The branching structure is still coarse but improving.
