A Misty Hermanus Morning

Yesterday we took part in a Bird Club Challenge, with the objective of trying to identify as many species as possible in and around Hermanus in an eight hour period. With this in mind, we set off on our usual hike around the golf course at 6:30 am. It was dark, of course, but as it got lighter, we were delighted to see the mist hanging low over the ground. It did not make for good birding, but was very pretty, nevertheless.

For the record, we managed to see 90 bird species in the allotted time!
