The Overberg Renosterveld Conservation Trust is using a novel approach, centred on partnering with landowners, to address this conundrum. Our recently launched book, ‘Field Guide to the Renosterveld of the Overberg’, has received an incredible welcome into the botanical and naturalist world and we hope it will inspire further interest and support for conserving our Renosterveld ecosystems.
In this talk, Odette Curtis-Scott will discuss the plight of Renosterveld, its extraordinary diversity and the challenging journey she took while developing and completing this book.
There will be a Question & Answer session at the end of the talk, please post your questions in the Zoom Q&A section during the talk.
The launch will also be live streamed on to the Struik Nature Club & Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden Facebook pages on the day of the event.
The ‘Field Guide to the Renosterveld of the Overberg’ will be available at a 15% discount to registered attendees during the week of the talk at Kirstenbosch Bookshop (online https://bit.ly/3hOGd3d or you can visit the shop at the Garden)
