Buffalo of the Masai Mara

Terrifying when enraged, Buffalo are mostly content to graze in peace.  The Mara is well endowed with these magnificent beasts that fear little except marauding lions, intent on capturing their young.  Oxpeckers and Cattle Egrets are happy to clean them of parasites and to enjoy feeding on blood from their wounds.
