Birds in the Masai Mara

One visits the Masai Mara in order to see game and especially the river crossings, but there are good bird sightings available, if only one can get one’s guide to stop for them instead of cats and elephants.  Vultures predominate, with so much meat around, especially at the time of the crossings, when the wildebeest die in large numbers.
