Spring Peeping Through…?

Wednesday 26 February and Friday 06 March 2020. Nova Scotia.

There have been definite signs that the year is turning recently. People have been finding snowdrops, Red-winged Blackbirds, Common Grackles and even the odd Tree Swallow. Early but definitely encouraging. We haven’t had the worst of winters, down here in the ‘Banana Belt’ of Nova Scotia, anyway. It has snowed, but it hasn’t stuck-we haven’t had to clear the drive once so far this winter. Of course, now that I have said that, and in writing, I will have completely set us up for phenomenal snow for the remainder of the month (sorry, South-west NS!). In fact, they are forecasting snow for tomorrow, so it might be a bit premature to suggest that Spring is here.
