This pair of Lesser Yellowlegs was spotted on Sunday afternoon here at the largest rainfall retention basin.  That pond is about half-full and still has enough food to support large visiting birds.  I have frequently seen egrets there.  These beautiful shorebirds were fishing for tadpoles or larger insects.  That is about the only kinds of food that would be… Continue reading Yellowlegs
