Tom had to go to work today, after all that’s really the reason we came to Lyon. That left me on my own and a bit to my own demise 🤨 I headed back to Parc de la Tete d’Or to focus on the birds. Along the trails I discovered that most of the birds were more photogenic in the Botanical Garden. So first, some of the European birds: Great Tit, European Robin, and Eurasian Magpie
And since I was in the garden:
I logged 21 species, some Lifers for me but no pictures: Eurasian Wren, Eurasian Blue Tit, Great Crested Grebe, Eurasian Jay and Eurasian Blackcap. There’s a pavilion in the center of the park which covers a piano and a kindly looking gentleman was playing some beautiful classical music.
