A Trip to the Pacific Bonsai Museum

On a nice autumn day, I took a trip to the Pacific Bonsai Museum located in Federal Way, Washington. It contains Pacific Rim bonsai collections from Canada, China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and the United States. The original name of the museum is the George Weyerhaeuser Pacific Rim Bonsai Collection. There are 60 bonsai exhibits on display in a beautiful, quiet, forested area. I can’t think of a more appropriate area for the displays.  Admission is free. Here is a mini display I put together of some of the photos I took.

And while there, visit the Rhododendron Species Garden, located immediately adjacent to the Pacific Bonsai Museum. There will soon be colorful displays of autumn leaves on the numerous species of Japanese Maples and other species of trees.
