The 5th USNBE is this weekend in Rochester, NY, and I have been fortunate enough to participate in three. The trees are sure to be great this year, and the competition fierce. Here is my submission.
Before:
After cleaning up the bark, scrubbing the deadwood, and applying a fresh coat of lime-sulfur:

And the final product, after a few hours of touching up with Bjorn:
Imported Kishu shimpaku juniper, 24″ tall, Gyouzan container.
Mixed wild grasses, euphorbia, and fern accent plant in a Tofukuji container.
A photo of it being photographed at the exhibition, kinda cool! (Credit: Bjorn)
