Went to Die Oog earlier in between a few showers which are still persisting today in Cape Town. The water levels are getting a lot higher. But bird life at Die Oog was dismal. Only saw Egyptian Geese, Red-knobed Coot adults and juveniles, a lone moorhen, a pair of dabchick, and a lone thick knee. No hadeda no warblers. The only lively area was the Cape Weaver colony which had weavers building at least 6 new nests. On the way home I saw another Hadeda with a red ring on. Unfortunately the photo I took was of inferiour quality so I could see its code but I did notice the ring was very faded maybe an older bird.
